2) The ocean and life in the ocean shape the features of the Earth Sea level is rising because of climate change. This means waves reach further onto the land. Bigger and stronger storms cause more powerful waves. These waves wash away beaches and cliffs and can damage homes, roads, and change the shape of our coastline. This is called erosion.
