Conceptual to computational to simulation models Models Conceptual model = like a picture → static, doesn’t change. Useful for describing (natural history) but limited. To do science, we add mathematics → this makes it a computational model. To make it come alive, we let the model change over time. → This gives us a simulation model. A simulation model is a simplification of reality that evolves over time.
