Microplastic pollution

Microplastic pollution

As part of the project on microplastic pollution, students created a short animated film about a boy named Vilnis. Vilnis dreams of becoming a football player but does not pay attention to where he throws his candy wrappers, carelessly dropping them on the ground. Over time, the wrappers break down and enter the environment. One day, Vilnis experiences stomach pain, and an X-ray at the doctor’s office reveals that plastic has accumulated in his body. From that moment on, Vilnis becomes much more careful about where he disposes of his waste. The film combines storytelling and animation to raise awareness among children and young people about the impacts of plastic pollution on human health and the environment, encouraging responsible waste management.
