Protecting freshwater biodiversity → letting rivers slow more naturally is just one example that helps protect freshwater biodiversity. Freshwater species→ from fish and plants, to mammals and birds, there are many organisms that call these places home. Why biodiversity Is Important → a biodiverse ecosystem is a strong ecosystem, and we rely on ecosystems for so many parts of life. Protecting biodiversity helps in the fight against climate change.
